How to Create High-Quality PowerPoint Presentations with AI — Step-by-Step Guide
Do you spend a lot of time writing content and creating
presentations? What if I told you there’s a seamless way to create PowerPoint
presentations using AI? I’ve been testing some AI PowerPoint tools for the past
few weeks and I was amazed at how easily we can create high-quality
presentations without much effort. Imagine being able to impress your
colleagues or clients with professional, engaging slides created in a fraction
of the usual time — sounds good, right?
Buckle up, because in this video I want to show you a
step-by-step process for how to use AI to make PowerPoint presentations. I’m
Bran from Website Learners — let’s get started.
Overview — Four Simple Steps
To create a PowerPoint presentation using AI we’ll do four
simple steps:
- Create
an account on Gamma AI
- Choose
a creation method and paste your notes
- Configure
generation settings and generate slides
- Edit,
enhance images, preview, and export the final PPTX
Step 1 — Open Gamma AI & Create an Account
- Click
the link in the description to go to the tool page.
- Click
Sign up for free.
- Sign
up with your Google account.
- Click
Create workspace.
- You’ll
arrive at the Gamma AI dashboard and be ready to create.
Step 2 — Choose How You Want to Create the Presentation
Gamma AI gives three methods to create a presentation:
- Paste
in text — Convert outlines or notes into a presentation using AI.
- Single
line (AI generates full content) — AI will generate the complete
content and slides from a single line of text.
- Import
a file — Upload an existing presentation or document and let AI
enhance it.
Pick whichever method fits you. I already prepared notes for
my presentation, so I used Paste in text.
Using Paste in Text
- Click
Continue on the Gamma page.
- Paste
your notes or outline into the input box (these are the notes I prepared).
- Scroll
down, ensure Presentation is selected, then click Continue.
Step 3 — Choose Generation Settings
Before Gamma generates slides, choose a few settings to
control output:
- Content
Mode
- Generate
— AI creates full content from notes.
- Condense
— Shortens existing content.
- Preserve
— Reformat without changing meaning.
(I selected Generate since I wanted AI to create content from my notes.) - Amount
of Content per Slide
- Brief
— Short bullets
- Medium
— Clear, concise content (I chose Medium)
- Detail
— Longer, in-depth content
- Target
Audience — Optional (students, professionals, etc.)
- Tone
— Leave default or pick a specific tone
- Language
— Over 20 options (I used English)
- Image
Source
- Web
image search (collect images from the internet)
- AI
generate unique images
(I chose Web image search.) - Slide
Size — Leave default or change as needed
- Number
of Slides (Cards)
- Gamma
calls slides cards.
- Free
tier supports up to 9 slides.
- I
set 8 cards (Gamma gave 400 free credits; 8 slides cost 40
credits).
After picking these options, click Continue, choose a
design, then Generate.
Step 4 — Generate the Presentation
Gamma AI used my notes to generate a full presentation:
introduction, broken-down content, bullet points, and relevant images for each
slide. Amazing — the entire deck was created automatically.
Edit Your Presentation
Once generated, you can make changes easily:
Edit Text
- Click
any text on the slide, type your changes, and the slide updates instantly.
Replace Images
- Click
the image → remove it → upload a new image from your computer or search
online.
- For
unique images, I used Gravity R (an AI image tool mentioned below).
Generate Unique Images with Gravity R
If you want high-quality unique images rather than web
images:
- Click
the Gravity R link in the description.
- Enter
the image description (e.g., “a cake in an oven”).
- Set
quality to HD and choose a style (Vivid or Natural). I chose Natural.
- Click
Generate image → Download the image.
To add the image to Gamma:
- Click
Upload image → drag & drop the downloaded file → adjust focus
or crop as needed.
Gravity R also can generate long blog posts (up to 5,000
words) with one click — a huge time saver. I’ve added a link in the description
— give it a try.
Use Gamma AI Power Tools to Improve Slides
- Make
shorter — Shortens slide text.
- Make
longer — Expands content.
- Improve
writing — Polishes the text.
I used Make shorter to tighten slide copy. If you’re
not satisfied, you can regenerate the suggestion.

Full screen to preview the entire presentation and review changes.
Export
- Click
Export → choose PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF.
